Stars on shoulders

His pride debated on his innocence

Immune to his emotions overflowing

His only motive was to serve his country

Incompetent to family values

He had to leave with a empty heart

A promise he kept to his son

That he will come back safe

Little did his body know

That his sole was bulletproof

Covered in tri colour his body returned with proud wounds of battle

That could only dent his skin but not his courage before death

Trying to believe that he is still alive

The son banged his Father’s chest that he broke his promise

Not a word was uttered

Years later the son walked his father’s footsteps

In search for what his father lost

A loney widowed mother stood proud at the doorstep looking at the  tommorow’s horizon years together

Hoping her son would return one day

Her body became a prey to old age

The day her son returned was  welcomed by the presence of her dead body covered in the most purest white that peace have ever laid eyes on

He broke out screaming I protect millions of lives but couldn’t protect you dear mother.

Began banging his fists till they blead against the scared floors that his mother walked on

Unable to silence his pain he howled in misery till he could not feel his voice no more

Home never felt like home again

How he slept curled up like a kid in his mother’s closet

Hiding from silence of memories

Breathing in of the sent that was left of her

He returned back to army with a heavy heart to serve his country

The world knew him to be a emotionless beast

Little did they know the story behind it

Everyone has a story and the pain behind there smiles. People don’t realise that their troubles and pain moulded them into a puppet in the hands of life.

Some life’s are taken for granted and some valued are less valued while others are lost in the process. But the circle of life goes on.

I have written this blog as I have seen my friends who were far from home cry the daylight out as they have not heard any news from there loved ones. Have seen them scarifice their pain to be a doctor. I guess everyone has a untold story that we hide from this take world
