The Fall

Some truth some lies

A distant fragrance

Just like the colors of the season

Shades of red,orange and browns

Like that she has different canopy of bruises

In the kingdom of her body

Plastered by her dear husband’s abuse

He changed he says every time

With a sorry he ends

But this habits don’t change

How does that do justice to the memories they shared

He turned her into a empty tree

The leaves of hope have shed

But she is anchored to the sacred grounds of relationship

A naked tree that waits for the cold winters

To embrace her pain

As the icicles of nostalgia stabs her everyday

Dear Autumn with you she falls to the ground

Dreaming the spring of fresh air

To drive her off her faith

Fear has become her cup of tea

She has become a motionless victim

Surrendering to her husband’s temper

The truth is bitter. Women of 21 Century are still being physically abused in relationships. Innocent women are being shunned that what goes behind a closed door should remain closed to the eyes of the world. Are women not human’s? Does marriage make them a legally a sex slave to her husband and baby producing machines. Don’t women have goals, dreams and careers.Women fight this screwed up ideology. We need to take a stand against these bullies of so called relationship monsters. Women should always value pride over anyone. Never let a man cage you in a corner. Its never to late to escape from this .

Dear beautiful talented women your education and career always come first before falling for a pretty boy. He may be smart, cute and everything you can hope. There are always plenty of fish in waters. Learn to establish yourself not for anyone but yourself. What is yours will always be yours. That should be your career dear!!!

Women are not rehabilitation centers for badly raised men and men are not financial aids to lazy women

A message for you to reflect on.

Great! The message is remarkable. Yes, it’s a bitter truth. Violence is a huge issue that affects women and children worldwide. The abuse that they face is awfully malicious and should not be tolerated any longer. And the saddest part is, the abuse that the women and girls encounter is most likely someone who is close to the individual like what you said in the poem. You penned the darkness and gloom of a woman beautifully and absolutely on point. Your poem has a strong impact and I really appreciate the words you used to characterize the feelings.👋
    Well done👍

  5. Because, women often believed, that when their abusers apologized, they meant it, without realizing, that, it is, a vicious cycle that keeps on rolling, until the abused victim do something to take herself OUT of this situation, but, women are inclined to believe, that when men apologize, they mean it, when in truth, they’re, just, trying to, keep us, locked, inside, this vicious cycle!

Indeed a message for us to reflect on.

Apologies have their limits. They can’t be a forever indemnity. Abuse in a relationship is to be taken seriously. It’s not about keeping it undercover but looking ahead into the future to see the cumulative explosion of this act. It can ruin a life, career and sometimes cause (avoidable) death. Individuals in abusive relationships have to speak up and ask for help. And society has to do better in believing women who say they’re truly been abused.

Loved your use of seasons as a poetic analogy 💚🔥
