What is life I say to myself every day?
It took me a while
To adjust myself to a chaos preyed life
I am still figuring out this forbidden path
Life is less of what I what to be
But more of whom I am going to be
In the next five years I see myself growing into a young independent woman
With the laughter of my best friends
With the responsibility of spoiling my sister
With the warmth of my mother
With the pride of my father
I shall stride this so called life
Because life worth living is living for others.
Everyone of us have that handpicked parts of us lost in people we love. In a world running at bullet speed, time for our precious gems is hard to fill by. But it is totally worth that effort. A simple call to mum at the end of a bone crushing day is a bliss to a worn out sole.
A fight with your siblings over the silliest issues will make you love them more. The protective shoulders of father is the safest place on earth no matter how old we get. The little things what this life craves for at the end of the day.
Don’t miss out on these precious opportunities.

Very beautiful and well written. The beauty and joy of happiness and life is in appreciation of simple chaste pleasures . In gestures and love which does not have to be adorned with the colour of the world .

Would you mind clarifying what you mean by “forbidden path”?

Ben thankyou so much for your constant pillar of support.
I always admire your eye for detail. Yes you have picked up on my favorite lines. I meant in poetic terms… We all live in ways we wish we weren’t….It somehow over a progress of times feels rather daunting and forbidden

What a beautiful & well written post. Such things matter the most….they bring us to the path, we sometimes tend to ignore

Wow. This is really nice. It uses simple diction and free verse. Just some editing on “women” to “woman”
Overall, good piece

There is a little paperback called “It was the best of sentences, it was the worst of sentences” by June Casagrande that I believe would be of tremendous help to you in developing your command of writing in English. I keep it on my desk, added tabs for quick reference, and found it tremendously useful, even after graduating from college with Bs and As in English and Writing. You can probably order it from Amazon.
