Meraki

A scented desire that fades with time

Rippled existence that merely lives

Devil that forgot the ways of evil

A shore that never saw a tide coming

Ocean that dared to meet a horizon

A chapter that was never read

Lives in a book that should never be written

By the hands that didn’t how to write

Created a writer

That the world never saw coming

Yet the writer of this poem failed to compromise her thoughts

The day ended but the heart beats louder

In these verse lives the irony

That lights of day should never see

A broken sole that churned the poetry into existence
