This painting of mine for this week’s blog is inspired by this amazing poem written by Robert Frost. Even till this date this will always remain one of my favorite poem. I remember reading it in my high school. I got goose bumps. I had this secret fantasy of painting this. I simply love the aura of the autumn in this poem. After it felt like forever I can finally can say mission accomplished. During this pandemic I got the time I needed to practice painting.
I have somehow connected with this poem and its secret code to success . In life just like the two roads in this poem. We have two paths which we are forced to choose. One of them falling into our comfort zones and the other that will send chills up your spine at the very thought of it. Well I always believed this quote what my grandmother used to say to me- If it doesn’t scare you it is not worth risking it… This has been anchored into my mind from a young age. This poem just adds butter to flames integrated in me. The way the writer ended with the path that was less traveled made the difference… I strongly feel this is same in life too. The path less traveled will make the journey horrible but it will worth the efforts.
THE PATH LESS TRAVELED
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
BY ROBERT FROST
I hope you enjoyed reading this as how much I love this poem. Do let me know your thoughts on the poem and the painting.
p.s- My sister thought the painting looks like a burning forest.
Well I think its just her
Robert Frost’s The Path Less Traveled has always been one of my favourite poems as well.
Beautiful painting. ❤

Robert Frost’s poem is new to me and thought provoking.
Your painting is great, it does paint a good picture that goes with the poem. It might be a fiery road to travel but in the end you come to luscious green.

OMG! What I’m gonna share you’ll hardly believe. Yesterday I was reminiscing about this poem from my High School days as something similar is happening in my life and today I discovered this post. Back in those days, the poor me didn’t cared to understand it and was just bothered knowing the gist of it for the sake of passing in exams. However today, thanks to your post, I got to read it again but with feelings.

🤣🤣🤣laughing at your sister’s comment. I was so on my way to the comment to say how amazing the painting and poem to go with it are but now I can’t unsee the “burning forest bit”😄. Anyway, uninfluenced by her feedback, I thought the painting was gorgeous, loved the choice of colors, autumish. Could see a painting like that hanging in a hotel or cafe and the poem below it to go with it. I can’t paint or draw to save a life but if I could, I probably would’ve made them two roads. But maybe that’s been overdone and it’s nice seeing a different perspective. Great post🧡

Means a lot.Maybe you can still paint or draw… Its only a flicker of enthusiasm away. No one is perfect… Happy that dropped by . Have a great day🙂
