Young and Broke

The irony

Watching your food get cold

As your crave the plate of someone else

Aren’t we all delusional

Exceptions upon expectations

One dream after an another

One chase after the other

Do we live to cherish this saturation point of accomplishment

Or are we all robots in fresh and bone

That were taught to follow this moral code

That forgot to live a little by day

Huming to the favorite song- I don’t have time

Hahaha we are all in this cycle blind

Tap dancing to the responsibilities

Of job, kids, spouse, parents, friends

In the process we forgot to dance for ourselves

Forgot to process, think and even smile

To digest the bitter truth the bitter poison we succumb in

Alcohol , drugs and cigarettes

Thinking it would drown the void in us

Only to realise we are addicted to this mess

With rehad and therapy

With nothing to fill

But the misery to our life’s animation

before our very eyes

As we are forced to be amputated from our emotions as we age

A living dead in a generation of young and broke

This is a deep satire on the ways our actions are manipulated to screw us in the future… Hahha don’t you agree???

With this thought I will end this week’s blog….

I do agree. I lovely commentary on reality for many people. I love this part most, “In the process we forgot to dance for ourselves.” This is so true. We get lost in the milieu of life, without realizing we are an active part of creating life. Great poem, Raghavasree. Lovely. Have a great week, my friend. πŸ™πŸ˜Š

Ironically very true, that’s why it’s important to develop core values and be strong enough to follow your heart.
