Vintage love

There he was stroking her every tight curls of hair round his fingers

with every sip of his tea

As she lay on his lap babbling her daily adventures

On the same spot and exactly at the same time everyday since the day he married her

From getting the kids ready to school to teaching the pesky college students

There he was lost for the right words in the peak of her vivid little descriptions

As she clearly hated being disrupted between her epic story of the day

How he loved her big eyeballs rolling in the socket of hers as she flashes her eyelashes at him

Admiring her huge frizz of ball on her head

A right word perhaps is a birds nest

Just like her and her mind

Her hair was full of secrets

The secrets of simplicity and natural beauty

In a world of salon treatments

Yet she remained stubborn embracing her natural hair and her wrinkled smile

It was hard for him to get his wife to himself.

Sometimes he even envied of the kids on how much attention and love they are taking from her

How lucky he felt to be trapped for a lifetime with this amazing women

In that moment of skipping heartbeat he whispered into her ear, “I love everything about you and can’t imagine a day without your presence”.

There she was smiling and blushing like a idiotic hormonal teen because she found the right man

Without a thought she whispered back, I can’t get over the fact that I am falling in love with you over and over again everyday

Looking lost into his tired eyes

The moment was short lived as the kids ran into the room running to their grandparents

Even after 60 years of married life

When their hair was salt and pepper

With both there teeth falling out

Both of them in the peak of there second childhood and memory loss

Both managed to melt to each others arms

Till they grow older and wiser with time
