Sold

I sold my dreams

Little by day

And little by night

Until I was no one but a puppet

A puppet made out of flesh and bones

Held by veins and motivation for peace

Stringing onto one dear life

One day at a time

Till it was plucked

The day I sold my soul

To the highest bidder- work, family and suffering

Hoping to redeem myself from this life

Only to realize

I shall forever be a no one

At the worst phase of my life I was alone

Now I am not scared to be alone at the top

As everything has a price

The price I pay to be myself just for one day,one hour and even for 1 min shall forever be due

As I am puppet stringed to this life like you my dear
