Glass

She was the type

That saw the world as a glass of water

Always she thought

It’s either half empty or half full

Maybe it took her a lifetime

To realize it’s just a glass

Which can always be refilled

Again and again

She finally broke the crystal glass ceiling of expectations

That rode on her shoulders of responsibility

To be perfect and right always

Never to speak out of turn

Do as she was told

Or perhaps be a good puppet

As people stringed her on

Never to bring a disgrace the families name

Be the perfect daughter, sister and friend

She was taught to obey from a young age

Putting always others first

When it cost her emotional balance

To never make the wrong turn

The world forced her to live in fear

Not of failure but of the idea of being a complete disappointment

As she believed her existence to be

The only thing that’s worth holding onto

Was her insanity

As it came with a price

Like a glass she shattered from within

Crushing and being grinned in a whirlpool of thoughts

With a plastered smile

She led herself and others to believe

Everything was okay

She was labelled as a inspiration and pure

Just like the glass

She to has the suffer the process of heat

to be molded into a clear smooth surface of vessel

that fills people with hope at the cost her peace

She could be your mother, sister, friend, brother, father or a foe

Everyone as a part to play and we are humans in the end

Everyone of us have our stories we dare not tell. We can’t all be the good guy in everyone’s story.. We have our own character to act in this play of life. We learn and evolve to do what is best for ourselves. In a way we are selfish to put ourselves first. Sometimes we are placed in difficult positions that bring the worst out of us. Its ok to feel guilty for our actions. We could have taken another road but everything happens for a reason.

We can look it as a glass as half empty or half full but most of the time we forget we can refill it again and again.Same with life.

Some thought to reflect on.

I must say, the point of that the glass is always refillable, really made me clear about it. I also wondered, but this creation of yours, made it all clear. Just Amazing.
