Hidden

Sometimes we hide the parts of us

From ourselves, from our loved ones and from the preying eyes of the strangers

To keep ourselves in one perfect sanity

From all those judgments

Only on the pretext of acting to be ok

Every day we ask others- how are you

Never have we thought to ask ourselves

How are we?

It would have solved a million questions in our head

Spiraling with no context

Always putting others first before ourselves

We forgot to realize we are even a person

Who is entitled with the responsibility of holy emotions

For what are we sacrificing this for

Is it even worth the effort

Words that we held so dear to ourselves long after they were said

As it triggered a pain that we dare not say

At the very touch of thought

Maybe some stories are worth being buried in ourselves

As they only question our existence of insecurities

As they rattle our mind daily

Hidden to the core

In ourselves as we bridge ourselves

Between the living dead

In the world of hidden
