Wild Marathon

Ever feel all your life you are running from a toxic system

Laying in bed thinking will you ever be enough

Trying and praying to get away from this grip

Only to know you are same falling victim

To prove your worth and your pride

Controlling that ego and rage from getting to you

From that first foribiden tear from trickling down

Only to realize you are pulled back into this meaningless system

Over again and again

till this fickle headed mind understands

To stop fighting against it and to fall in line with the processs

As you bid your dues

Killing yourself to be the absolute best

To block people away from your life

As you wear the hardened expression on your face

As a result of what life taught you

The dark lined creases between the eyes

Dealing with the same shit

Awareness pressed against our senses

As we refuse to accept it

The denial

But the truth screams in your ears

As you ran from the one thing that you always wanted the most in your life

Now you punish ourself daily

Wishing and cursing your existense

When anger is turned into a lump of burning agaony in your throat

You can’t swallow nor vomit it out

As your selfish pride wears the mask again

This magnitude of sacrifices

That brought you to the same helpless faith

that you started with

The helplessness, the agaony and the unbearable betrayal

That you brought upon yourself

As you finally lost what you guarded and protected the most

Your innocence

As the world stares at you as you stand on that edge

Either you will fly or fall

The choice is yours
