Question Mark

I look into a mirror and I see a stranger staring back at me

What happened to me I wonder

I see my metamorphosis

But only backwards

Maybe it’s the fear

Or the double standard doubts left unanswered

At the far Island of I don’t know

Comes the tsunami of truth

Wiping away the innocence

That comforted the budding dreams

Ripping the safety emotional net

That binded me to my sole

Only to create a blunder of malfunction

Wrapped to fresh and blood

In a framed skeleton on bone

Attached to not giving a dame to what others think

From a social butterfly to a nobody

In utter darkness I find myself

Shadowed to my bickering thoughts

All alone in a bricked life of uncertainty

As I stare into the mirror

Wondering who I really am…

These question marks always anchored to our minds. We don’t always see where we want to be in this race. This will not weaken us nor make us any less. Everyone has their own race at own speed limits. Some faster and some slower than others. At the end of the day we are all just racing against our thoughts and fears.

In the process we loose ourselves and sometimes it changes us for the better or for worse. Questions upon questions we pile onto the stack of uncleared mountains. Some answers easier to find and some kidnapped to unexplainable reasons. While some will forever live to be unanswered pestering questions with no answers.

  2. I don’t think there’s a race unless we will it into existence.

    1. Hahaha everything is a race my friend. The race to live, race to existence, the race to complete studies, the race to avoid responsibilities and do responsibilities and importantly the race with the biological clock… It’s all in the perspective ✌

        1. Thank you Bharath. Hahah lol and funny how your existence came to be by the fastest sperm… Well it’s a race if you acknowledge it or not 😉

          1. It isn’t a race, ma’am. Motility isn’t a race. And which healthy sperm reaches the egg is just a game of lottery. 😅
            Sperm race is a myth.

            1. It is Bharat. Pls I am no mam call me Raghavasree or veera. Survival is a race. Example when turtle’s are hatch they have to race for there life’s against the stray dogs ect. Yes it’s survival of the fittest at the end of the day. Yes sperm race is not a thing but fusion is with the fastest or the best sperm kiddo

              1. Not the fastest, child, but the fittest. It’s an obstacle course and the one which gets there is the healthiest sperm. Survival of fittest is not the survival of fastest. And I rest my case.
                Have a good day.

I think nature is a race, but only humans who have the luxury to choose so, can decide not to race. Others don’t have that choice and are left to the survival of the fittest.
